Together, Amazon Web Services (AWS) re/Start and getINNOtized are excited to build an inclusive and diverse pipeline of new cloud talent. And you can be part of it! The AWS re/Start program is a skills development program that prepares you for entry-level careers in the cloud and connects you to potential employers.

The program covers Linux, Python, Networking, Security, and relational database skills. You have the opportunity to pursue the AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner exam. We also provide CV and interview coaching to prepare you for job interviews to launch an entry-level cloud career. In course of the program, you will get supported by professional mentors and accredited trainers, to complete this 12-week training program – featuring real-world scenario-based learning, hands-on labs, and coursework.

The Ajira Digital Program – a government initiative driven by the Ministry of ICT, Innovations and Youth Affairs – is contributing to the implementation of the Azubi AWS re/Start program by getINNOtized in Kenya.

AWS CLOUD PRACTITIONER ESSENTIALS
(12 WEEKS)

Soft Skills:

Self assessment and evaluation, CV writing, Effective communication, Coaching, Leadership principles, Time management, Being an effective teamplayer, Preparing for and acing interviews

AWS Cloud:

Introduction to IT, Linux Fundamentals, Networking Fundamentals, Introduction to Programming, Database Fundamentals, Cloud Foundations and Cloud Operations, Mock Interviews and mock exams

Final Exam:

Final assessment, knowledge check and certification exam

The Ajira Digital Program is a government initiative driven by the Ministry of ICT, Innovations and Youth Affairs to empower over one million young people to access digital job opportunities. The program seeks to position Kenya as a choice labour destination for multinational companies as well as encourage local companies and public sector to create digital work.

getINNOtized

getINNOtized is a software company that connects academia with the global business world. getINNOtized empowers young African talents to reach their potential through job opportunities with global counterparts, primarily in the fields of Data Science and Software Engineering. The company provides a platform for young talents in Africa to meet the demands of European/global organizations.

AWS re/Start

AWS re/Start is a skills development program that prepares learners for entry-level careers in the cloud. The program’s mission is to build local talent by providing AWS Cloud skills development and job opportunities to unemployed or underemployed populations —and otherwise might not have access to this path. AWS re/Start works with non-profit, philanthropic, and government organizations to deliver a learning experience that provides a pathway to earning AWS Certification, and support participants as they launch their cloud careers.
